Avanco Awarded $1.9 Billion Small Business IDIQ Contract by U.S. Air Force

McLean, Virginia, November 30, 2011 – Avanco International, Inc. of McLean, Virginia today announced the award of a Small Business IDIQ contract to the company by the U.S. Air Force to provide Contract Advisory and Assistance Services for the Air Combat Command (ACC) and the Air Force District of Washington. The CAAS IV contract is a worldwide contracting vehicle used throughout the Air Force for technical assistance in the areas of software engineering, logistics, engineering, program, budget, subject matter, scientific, and advisory support. The program has a total ceiling of $4.7 Billion, with the small business competitive contractor pool eligible for $1.9 billion in contract awards.

Avanco Awarded 16 Month $7.4 Million IDIQ Contract by U.S. Army

McLean, Virginia, May 14, 2010 – Avanco International, Inc. of McLean Virginia was awarded a 16 month $7.4 million IDIQ contract by the U.S. Army to continue to perform Systems Integration and development support for the U.S. Army Enterprise Management Decision Support (EMDS) System. Avanco, a leading Oracle software systems Integrator specializing in Decision Support solutions, will complete the development of the EMDS application to provide Senior Army leaders with a multi-functional decision support tool to support the U.S. Army Force Validation mission. The Business Intelligence application, to be developed for Army G-3/5/7 DAMO-FM, will realize the Army’s goal of developing and providing tools to enhance enterprise-wide situational awareness and decision support for a Common Operating Picture (COP) of Army Force readiness.

Carnegie Mellon University Rating Validates Avanco Best Practices for Systems and Software Development

MCLEAN, Va., Dec. 21, 2009 -- Avanco International, Inc. today announced that it has achieved the Carnegie Mellon University's Software Engineering Institute's (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration(R) for Development (CMMI-DEV) Level 2 rating. This rating for benchmarking commercial and defense industry best practices and mature processes for systems engineering and software design and development was applied to Avanco’s U.S. Army Enterprise Management Decision Support (EMDS) project. The repeatable processes developed for the EMDS effort reduce risk, manage cost, improve technical delivery, and support rapid development, and demanding task schedules.

The comprehensive appraisal assessed systems engineering and integration, software development, and maintenance disciplines within the EMDS project. “This is the first in a series of steps our company intends to take towards ensuring that we follow rigorous, adaptable, and repeatable processes to ensure the success of our client’s technical projects,” said Avanco International CEO, Steve Vandivier. “Achieving quality results and a high rate of return is the instant benefit our clients receive when we apply CMMI best practices to our customer’s system development requirements.” The Level 2 rating was earned using the Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI(SM)). Avanco’s appraisal was led by an SEI-authorized lead appraiser and included review of seven process areas that Avanco manages for its’ U.S. Army EMDS development effort.

Avanco Awarded $1.4 Million Army Corps of Engineers Logistics Management Contract

Avanco Awarded $4.5 Million Federal Election Commission Sub-Contract
