Education & Training Solutions

Avanco International, Inc. has provided Education and Training Solutions under contract to our clients since our founding in 1982 to include in-person and online classes, maintenance of class materials, and class presentations and certified instruction to students.  Avanco developed the instruction, maintains the materials, and provides training on a number of topics to include security and protection of US technologies when working in an international environment.  International Programs Security classes are sanctioned by the DoD and taught by Avanco instructors for the Department of Defense through the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), the Defense Institute of Security Assistance Management (DISAM), the Defense Acquisition University (DAU), and for commercial clients who need more specific instruction to meet their internal corporate requirements.

Avanco provides technical training for software applications we have developed for clients and Oracle classroom instruction.  Examples include training in the use of the Child Accounting and Profile System (CAPS) application for subscriber counties in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and training in the use of the Enterprise Management Decision Support (EMDS) Readiness Dashboard developed for the U.S. Army and the Corps of Engineers Automated Personal Property Management System (APPMS) maintained by Avanco. Technical training includes hands on ad hoc query training, SQL training, Decision Support training, basic MS Windows and PC training, and introductory database training. Avanco has also supported the development of online courses through development of lesson structures to identify lesson sequences, terminal learning objectives for each lesson and subsequent testing procedures, enabling learning objectives for all lesson topics, and storyboards for each lesson to identify recommended content, associated links and references, screen captures and/or graphics, and notes to facilitate course development.
